Overall Race Schedule
The Runoffs will be broadcast on the Speedvision cable channel. Racing will be broadcast on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the 10th through 12th. Coverage starts at 1:30pm on each day, running until 6pm, apparently with a repeat running from 7:30pm to 11:30pm to midnight on all three days.

The 1997 SCCA Valvoline Runoffs® will be held from Wednesday, October 1st, to Sunday, October 12th, with racing occuring on the 10th, 11th, and 12th. The detailed schedule appears in the September 1996 issue of SportsCar Magazine. Here is a condensed version:
Wednesday-Thursday, October 1st-3rd: Registration
Saturday-Sunday, October 4th-5th: Registration, Tech Inspection
Monday, October 6th: practice, all groups, 20 minute sessions
Tuesday, October 7th: qualifying, all groups, 20 minute sessions
Wednesday, October 8th: qualifying, all groups, 20m sessions
Thursday October 9th: qualifying, all groups, 20m sessionsFriday, October 10th:8:30am-10:10am warmups
10:30am-5pm: 19 lap/40 minute races, by groups in this order
SSA, FA, T1, EP, GT-2, CSR, HP
Lunch is scheduled to fall between the FA and T1 races
Saturday, October 11th:8:15am-10:05am warmups
10:15am-5:40pm: 19 lap/40 minute races, by groups in this order
GP, DSR, F500, FV, SSC, FF, SSB, AS
Lunch is scheduled to fall between the F500 and FV races
Sunday, October 12th:8:15am-10:05am warmups
10:15am-5:40pm: 19 lap/40 minute races, by groups in this order
GT-5, S-2000, FP, GT-3, FC, GT-1, GT-4, SRF
Lunch is scheduled to fall between the FP and GT-3 races
